Artist in Residence

After a hectic weekend at the Festival of Thrift, I thought I would share a more relaxed experience from earlier this month. Here is my two week Artist Residency at the Durham Dales Centre in pictures.
My first task was to tranform the empty, unfloored unit into a makeshift studio/gallery space, as best I could. So it went from this:
Of course the only light not working in the unit was the one over my display!!
Then it was time to get creating... here are a few works in progress and finished pieces from the two weeks.
And, of course the piece I made for the centre ' Deeply Determined'
It was such a fabulous opportunity and I am so grateful to the Durham Dales Centre for allowing me to take up this residency. Here's hoping I will get to repeat the experience sometime in the future.
Welcome to my blog, I hope you will enjoy reading about what I have been doing and that you will find some inspiraton in my projects and ideas.
I am also a member of the Powertex Design Team 2019 - you can read the blogs I have written as part of the design team here...
