Over ten days at the end of March I will be transforming The Handmade Collective into my workspace and inviting you all to come and visit. Please feel free to drop in at anytime between 11am and 4pm.
As well as having a selection of my creations available for sale, I will also be running a variety of taster sessions, workshops and master classes. See below for the full schedule.
If you like my creations and wonder how I make them, or if you just fancy having a go using Powertex fabric hardener, then I am offering free Powertex taster sessions at 11am on most days. You will create either a brooch/badge or a hanging pendant. Although these sessions are free, space is limited in the shop, so please book a place to avoid disappointment. To book please send me a message stating which session and how many places you'd like to book.
My workshops will introduce you to fabric sculpting and working with Powertex in more depth than my taster sessions and working on larger projects. There are a range of workshops to choose from ranging from more straightforward projects such as small books and plaques up to more complex projects such as angel statuettes.
Many of the workshops are being offered at reduced rates as part of the Open Studio event.
Full schedule below. To book go to my workshop shop.
These are aimed at those of you who are already familiar with working with Powertex but who would like a little extra tuition in specific techniques or products. Applying colour effectively using the dry brushing technique is thing I hear most people wanting advice on, so I have planned in a couple of sessions where we will focus purely on this. I will also be running master classes on the use of Rusty Powder (creates rust effects) and Easy 3D Flex (creates lovely cracked, textured effects).
To book go to my workshop shop.
